My students are special to me in many ways. The school in which I work in is located in the Bronx, NY. This area has a diverse population and culture. Many of the students come from hard working families with low-income. Due to this, students may suffer from lack of resources that may enhance their ability to learn. This puts them at a distinct disadvantage, as compared to those who are fortunate enough to have been raised in a home where parents have provided the initial steps towards literacy. Some of those who missed these critical first steps have been slowly falling behind. I will be here to guide, support and provide them with all of the necessary essentials that can promote a healthy and positive learning environment.
The printer will have multiple uses in and out of the classroom. Once school re-opens it will give students a printer for me to print their worksheets needed in order to learn.
It will be used to print instructional materials, colorful books, flashcards, and reinforcement activities that can be picked up contactless by students and still have access to the education they deserve.
It will also allow me to print visuals for my English Language Learners and can help them build new vocabulary for all students. This will benefit my students because they will not have to worry about any work they are missing because it will be provided for them.
