My students often face a lot of challenges, not only academically, but socially as well. They are original thinkers and enjoy hands-on learning and activities with movement.
Our public elementary school in Indianapolis faces the daily challenge of educating and motivating students that live well within the poverty level.
Our students are very active learners. They love when we have flexible seating options, STEAM projects, and a choice of tasks within their daily routine. They work best in a flexible, yet structured, environment.
My Project
For a few years now, I have been doing STEM and art projects with my students using my personal color printer and Silhouette Portrait 2 electronic cutter. The students have really enjoyed the projects, but the wear and tear on my personal devices is now showing.
Using the Silhouette Design Studio software, I would like to create STEAM projects at school for my students and hopefully teach them how to make their own creations.
We have had many occasions in which we have needed a scanner and color printer at school. The students currently don't have any way to print their computer projects. The All in One printer and ink should allow for the scanning and printing of many projects.
