My Students

Thanks to advances in technology, knowledge and information is at our fingertips; but now I need a bridge to bring that knowledge to my students!

First graders are imaginative, curious, and inquisitive.

My students define those adjectives! They throw me curve balls and we often go on tangents, but each moment is educational and helps them grow. A printer/copier in the classroom would help me take advantage of the tangents and make them that much more educational.

My Project

With students as inquisitive as mine, I am not always able to provide supplemental material for the topic at hand. With the school's printer and copier being located out of the classroom, I can't print graphic organizers or copy worksheets at the spur of the moment. The Internet can bring me the information I need to relay, but without a printer readily available inside the classroom, how can I pass along the knowledge to my students?

I want my students to gain the most out of their education and to learn as much as possible.

When conversations take a turn from the previously planned lesson; crowding 22 students around a computer screen is not ideal. Furthermore, children tend to gain more when they are presented with a tangible artifact. With the convenience of a printer in the classroom, my students' potential to learn is limitless.
