My students need writing centers, story tiles, and activity pockets so I can implement an effective writer's workshop.

My students love to write during journal writing time. I want my first grade students to be excellent writers. Unfortunately, we do not have resources available to assist me in accomplishing this goal. I need your assistance to be able to facilitate a fun and effective primary writer's workshop.
I teach a group of 20 first grade students in an elementary school in Memphis in a high poverty area.
I have 14 boys and 6 girls. They have a true desire to learn. Most of them love pleasure writing and journal writing using the prompts I provide for them. It is great to see students acquire an enjoyment for writing at an early age.
The writing materials will inspire and motivate my students to further improve their writing skills. Many of them love writing, but there are students who find writing challenging. These writing activities will motivate and help them overcome those challenges. The Word of the Week kit will help those students by giving them a resource to see how to spell those words they need. The Activity Folders and Pockets will not only allow them to explore writing independently, but it will also provide meaningful writing opportunities for every child. The Sequence and Write Story Tiles will reinforce sequencing skills as well as allow them to create a story with a beginning, middle, and end. Help us become better and even greater writers. These materials are what we need to accomplish these goals.
These projects are important because writing is a very important skill students will need to use for years to come.
If they master this skill in the early grades, they will be able to be successful when they reach the intermediate grades. Your contribution will allow me to enhance my students writing experiences and show them that writing is fun and exciting. These items will be handled with care and will be used to benefit students for years to come.
