My students need seat pockets to keep their materials organized!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
Do you remember starting a paper, project, or worksheet that you were not able to complete? Do you remember losing it because you misplaced it? With seat pockets my students won't have to worry! They are able to keep unfinished work, interactive journals, and school supplies all in one place.
My kinder kids are a crazy bunch who love to get involved in all things.
They love to learn spot sight words, find patterns in math, and explore the world of science. They are hyper and excited about learning. As a Title I school, many of my students do not have access to things that most students do; therefore, it brings many other challenges into the classroom.
With seat pockets my students will be able to access unfinished projects/work and enhance organizational skills. Many of my students do not have the skills to keep track of their school work, pencils/crayons/etc., and other belongings. If my students had seat pockets this would help them develop some of these skills and fight half the battle of messiness. These seat pockets have more than one pocket in order for them to organize their things. Furthermore, with access to unfinished work my students will be able to get all the points needed for their grade
As stated before, these seat pockets will help my students keep their items organized and the classroom cleaner.
Organization, routine, and structure are all important qualities a classroom should possess in order to maximize learning and maintain a healthy classroom environment.
