I teach at a Title I school in Georgia where 90 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Although they have hardships, they are eager to become successful in all areas of their lives.
My students are determined to BE SOMEBODY!
This is our second year with a STEM lab at our school. K through 5th-grade students are able to experience STEM in a way like never before. We are stilling learning and growing! Our students have thoroughly enjoyed STEM education this year. They are very excited to try new challenges, create amazing designs, and think critically. The students have shown amazing determination when given challenging projects.
My students have grown to become more independent thinkers and investigators through their experiences in the STEM lab. This year they believed themselves to engineers, doctors, and professors. They even dream of being entrepreneurs!
Our students will have the opportunity to participate create, explore, and bring ideas to life using their heat press in our STEM Lab.
How exciting would it be to see students designing their own apparel to enhance school spirit while gaining knowledge of economics, entrepreneurship, and team-building?
Students will contribute to helping our school by creating and fundraising for field trips and other projects.
Our students are driven to have character through giving and making a difference in the community. It is possible for students to create using the heat press to give and support those in need through community service projects.
