This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The homes of my students were flooded during Hurricane Sandy.

My students live in an urban beach resort, where many of their parents work several jobs to support their family.

Most of my students live in bottom floor apartments with many relatives. I teach reading and writing to English language learners in first grade.

My Project

I am asking for a laminating machine and laminating pouches in three different sizes. My students write creative stories that I would like to save. A laminating machine will help me preserve my students' work. My students come from many different countries, and they enjoy writing stories about their cultures and family traditions.

Many students lost everything they had during Hurricane Sandy.

A laminating machine and laminating pouches in three different sizes will help preserve my students' work. The students will be able to enjoy reading their friends' stories.
