Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a third grade teacher in a New York public school. Teaching is no longer the way it was 20 years ago when I was in the third grade. Teachers are no longer allowed to use chalkboards. The chalkboards are to be covered up with chart paper. Instead we are suppose to be using dry erase boards and chart paper. In my classroom, the only dry erase board I have is about 14 inches by 16 inches. Since it has such a small surface it is hard for my class to see what I need to show them. I also have to constantly erase important things to put new things up for them. I would love to have a large dry erase board on a stand so I no longer have to do a balancing act of holding the board while I write. My students would benefit greatly from having a large presentation surface. They would be able to see more while comprehending the lessons in a way that is more conducive learning. Please help my third graders.
