Ms. Blair from Atlanta GA is requesting classroom basics through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need these supplies to help them with their informational writing presentations. They are all working really hard doing research and learning about their topics.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students are 95% English as their Second Language, 50% special needs and they are 100% amazing! One hundred percent of the students also receive free and reduced-price lunch. We are a classroom where students work hard at learning. Our students work together to succeed and make the most out of every situation. Most of the students that have special needs have their own challenges ranging from Specific Learning Disability, Autism, and Emotional Behavior Disorder. Our number one goal is to work together, to grow, and to build self-confidence.
These resources will be used to help my students prepare to present their informational writing topics. They have been working extremely hard and are very excited about their presentations.
Having the resources in the classroom will allow all students to have access to the materials they need.
Most of my students come from low-income homes and this will take the burden off of parents who may not be able to afford the materials. Having all of the materials in the classroom will give all of the students the same advantage.
This project will positively affect the students in my Writing class as we adventure off into informational writing. We are exploring new topics and learning about everything from alligators to zebras!!! My students are extremely excited about completing projects that they will present to their peers. The poster boards and markers will be used by students to create their presentations. The students will use the USB flash drives to save their work as they go. The charts incentive packs will be used to keep students encouraged to keep learning and reading on their topics. The gold stickers will be used to reward students along with certificates once they finish and present their projects in class. These much-needed resources will definitely help my students make the BEST presentations they can.
