The artists at our school may have paintings at The Guggenheim, design covers for The New Yorker, and become photographers for National Geographic Magazine. Students and artists thrive, but only when teachers, schools, and communities believe in them. It is clear as their teacher that there is no shortage of talent, drive, or passion among our students. Belief in and support of students has to be acted upon and supported in tangible ways.
When communities support young artists, they are supporting their dreams, and amazing things can happen.
Your donation will create a space in our school for the students, their families, and our teachers to see, support, and appreciate young artists.
As an artist, when we see our work all lit up, and behind shiny glass, there is something that just makes everything feel real, and official. Taping art up on a refrigerator/wall is nice and all, but that really should be left to 'mom' and 'grandma.' I mean, it’s great when you’re a kid, but there comes a time when you want to be seen as a serious artist.
Presentation is everything.
Presentation is about respect for yourself as an artist. Moreover, when artwork has great presentation, it tells people to take you, your art, and your ideas seriously. These changeable glass art display frames will serve as a beautiful gallery space in our school. A place to feature the work of many students, and highlight award winners and AP art students.
As John Doerr says, “Ideas are easy. Execution is everything. It takes a team to win.” Your donation will help us show young artists that we take them, their art, and their ideas seriously. Give now, and help us purchase our school's first professional art display! Give now, and help young artists be seen and appreciated!
