I'm a dedicated preschool teacher of 32 underprivileged children at a Title I school. The majority of the children we serve are living below the poverty level. Working in this area is very rewarding. I'm able to help so many children that are in desperate need. My students use my classroom to escape their troubles. No matter what is happening at home, my students know that they will loved and cared for at school.
Despite all of their struggles at such a young age, my students are eager to learn and experience new things.

My Project
A school garden would really brighten up our school's environment. Right now, there is a "dead space" right next to my classroom. It is nothing but rocks and dirt. My goal is to transform this space into a beautiful garden my students could be proud of. My preschool students would be able to grow in this garden all year long. We plan to grow pumpkins, watermelons, carrots, flowers, and many other wonderful things! My students will learn how to grow food and the life cycle of plants. We need barrel planters and a storage box to keep our tools safe. Your donation will make this all possible.
