As Benjamin Franklin said, "Tell me and I forget, Teach me and I remember, Involve me and I learn." This is a very important philosophy to have when it comes to working with preschool age children, especially in my preschool disabled class.
Students in our growing class are 3-5 years old.
We are starting our class with four students however in the next month we are projected to double our class size as friends transition into our program. Both the students and I are very excited about learning.
My Project
My preschoolers would benefit from these materials to practice their Pre-Readiness skills as they move closer to kindergarten. The dough mats are a super fun way for them to start recognizing both letters and shapes. These are easily modified for my learners who vary in ages from 3-5 years of age. The retelling tree for "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" is great for all learners. I plan on using this in both whole and small group instruction. The button sort is great to use as we start to discuss size of objects which is the foundation of measurement skills.
By donating to this project you will be helping early learners work on pre readiness skills to build a strong academic foundation.
