A third of them are English Language Learners and for some this is their first formal setting.
These kids are imaginative, active, magical, creative 3-and 4-year olds , who are always ready to learn and play! I know from experience that when furniture is made well, and centers are well-defined, kids take good care of their surroundings and they engage in appropriate play. I am delighted to imagine that the kids getting comfy in their own space as they listen to nursery times, fairy tales and story time fun.
My Project
The magical rug and flexible easel will provide hours of Literacy, Sensory, and Creativity for our Preschool Inclusion Class. These materials will help us adapt the curriculum to each child's age-level and needs.
The rug will help young children feel they have a safe place to sit while they participate in story time, song time and fingerplays, while the Easel will provide opportunity for children to finger paint, use shaving cream and create art.
The opportunities are endless! A hands-on, engaging preschool will help kids learn to read, write, sing, dance, act, paint, play together, socialize and so much MORE!
