Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are from Chicago and are part of the blended pre-school program. This program gives my students an opportunity to interact with many diverse learners. My kind preschoolers come to class everyday to learn, discover, and explore.
They gleefully draw pictures, create structures, read books, dance, and sing throughout the remote learning day.
My students love identifying letters and their sounds, colors, shapes, and feelings (SEL). Since remote learning, my students have been trying their best to connect and stay active.
My Project
In my preschool class, we are being our exploration of letter names and sounds. For the first few months of remote learning, my students have been working hard looking at the computer screen and learning their letters through their computers.
It is time they have more materials at home to encourage them to learn letter names and sounds.
I am hoping to providing my students with with more hands-on tools that they can use while at home. The uppercase practice book will help my students learn to write their uppercase letters along side with their sounds during remote learning. I would send the practice book home and my students will practice their letters during our lessons and this will allow for students to stay active during our google meets.
