Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach wonderful pre-K students who are motivated and ready to learn every day! I work in a low socioeconomic neighborhood where finances are limited in the home environment so I try my best to provide the basic school necessities they need. Since the school closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, distance learning is implemented and it comes with a learning curve for my students and myself. Not every student in my class has technology support at home. My preschoolers and families now need activities and strategies that are prepared and ready to implement to make distance learning fun and engaging. I am asking your support in acquiring resources that I could use to increase the quality of distance learning for my students.
My Project
With the Coronavirus pandemic striking our nation, our way of learning has been changed dramatically! Distance learning is the new norm and we are shifting our strategies to remote teaching. I am trying my best to deliver lessons through virtual teaching, often my preschoolers still cannot grasp the content due to limited resources. Some students do not have internet access and have limited resources to help them learn. Student engagement is one of the key components of growth. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card can help me to purchase printable activities, worksheets, and art projects so that I can easily download and print it out for my students to do them at home. By providing them with these materials, I can help them continue to learn from afar!
