Some see the disabilities, but, in our classroom, we see the possibilities. Students at our special education inclusion preschool have a wide range of abilities and interests. Our two preschool classrooms include one lead teacher each who is also the intervention specialist. Some of our students are learning their ABCs and 123s while others are learning to use their voices to communicate their wants, needs, and thoughts. Our friends in here love to have fun playing on the playground, playing in centers, and expressing themselves during wiggle breaks.
In our classroom, every student matters, and we do whatever it takes to ensure they are learning to the best of their ability.
We are a family that sees the potential in everyone!
My Project
At the preschool level children learn though play. They need to have manipulatives to use daily to stimulate their thinking brains. The building bricks, hardwood blocks and other manipulatives that we are asking for will engage our preschoolers in STEM at an early age. The manipulatives and games we chose will be utilized daily during table toy time as well as center time. This is a time when children are able to use their imagination freely.
These manipulatives can have an impact on our speech and language impaired students as well as help develop fine motor development.
These types of toys help our students become innovative thinkers!
