I am a teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district where my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Our students, aged three to five come to our preschool program from various backgrounds and cultures, each with their own unique abilities and passions. Our classroom includes a range of students who have disabilities as well as students who do not. The students learn to appreciate the differences among them and to work together to develop long lasting friendships with their peers.
We are requesting equipment so that we can create a fun and inviting playground that is just right for our 3-5yo students. Having these materials can help all of our students, those with and without disabilities to engage in gross motor imaginative play experiences and develop not only their muscles but also their social emotional skills as they will have the opportunity to learn to share and play together in a wonderful outdoor environment.
Having a climber in our playground will enable our students to have ENDLESS HOURS OF PLAYTIME.
Our students will develop their social skills, comprehension skills, and confidence by playing with this colorful outdoor dome, as well as promoting limb strength, balance, and agility, encouraging kids to exercise while they have fun.
