This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are such a good example of how working together and building a classroom community can make teaching fun! Even so early in the school year, my students have learned so much and have become such caring and hardworking little learners.
My students come from very diverse families and attend an International Studies school where they attend a preschool for low-income families.
All of the students at my school receive free lunch. They really enjoy anything that is creative such as art and music. They often come from great, hardworking families who just don't have the resources to meet their basic needs.
My Project
Hi and welcome to preschool! Right now our students are learning from home until at least March 15 and are missing out on all of the fun and exciting materials we have in the classroom. I want to give them an opportunity to see what kinds of experiences they will have by creating a lending library.
These materials will be used to set up a lending library where my students can borrow materials we will eventually have in the classroom.
The materials will be used for individual student meetings where we can teach the children how to use the materials before they get in the classroom. It will give them an introduction to the rules and expectations we have for using classroom materials and they will also be learning at the same time.
