Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My early childhood special education students are full of energy and ready to take on an outdoor challenge. My students love to play outdoors and their curiosity drives them to learn new skills. A day outdoors in preschool is all about learning through play and developing cooperative play skills. My focus is for my students to meet their potential, grow, and develop their gross motor skills. I am optimistic for my students to continue to grow and meet all their developmental milestones.
My Project
As a teacher in a low-income school, I see my students face several challenges in the classroom and at home. All of my students have been identified with special needs. The different eligibilities range from autism, developmental delay, intellectual disability, and speech and language impairment. Even though they face many challenges, I am looking for the best outdoor tools to provide my students with an avenue to create a meaningful and cooperative outdoor learning experience.
My students will have the opportunity to play with the best outdoor ball equipment there is for their physical developmental stage and that fit their needs.
This will help my students learn about different sports and experience the ball that corresponds to the real world game.
