School closed swiftly due to the Coronavirus. Due to this unforeseen circumstance my students and I wasn’t able to say goodbye to each other. My students do not understand why they can no longer come to school to see their teacher or friends. This is my students first year in school, which was a major adjustment for them. I have the youngest learners who just learned structure and how to follow a routine. Unfortunately we are now facing a new challenge, which is digital learning. Being some of the youngest learners, it can be very difficult to reach my students. I am currently using class dojo to interact with students, however it is hard to get a personal touch. This week we are starting live videos through WebEx, which requires materials to engage my students. My hope is to make digital learning engaging and to provide structure for my students during this chaotic time.
In an effort to engage my students I need supplies to help them see other things besides myself since they are not able to use all of the features of WebEx.
Using a document camera will allow me display daily assignments.
Using a document camera will enhance digital learning for my students. Using technology can be challenging for many adults, and my students depend heavily on adults to learn. This is my students first year in school, and my students learn best when I provide visual examples for them. We will begin to do live videos in which I will provide brief lessons for my students. In an effort to make digital learning engaging for my students, I am looking to use a document camera to engage my students. This document camera will allow me to display posters, anchor charts, books, and flashcards.
