My Project

Preschool aged children are always on the move and need as many opportunities to move their bodies for optimal learning. I want to create an indoor play space where the students in my classroom can go to be able to move their bodies in appropriate ways inside the classroom, especially on super cold or rainy days where we do not get the opportunity to move our bodies outside.

The bean bag chairs will be used as "crash pads," where the children can jump onto the pad.

The bean bag tossing activity will allow the children an opportunity to engage in gross motor play while engaging with a peer or peers and will allow them to be able to practice turn taking, sharing space, communication and friendship skills, and learning the so important skill of waiting.
