Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is located in an inner city neighborhood. Most of the students have two working parents and many speak a second language at home. The neighborhood our school is located in is a diverse, urban setting.
My students are eager young learners.
This school year will be their first exposure to a large public school. The children speak another language at home and are economically challenged. Most students get free lunch.
My students deserve to start their academic careers with as many opportunities as I can provide for them. They are curious and creative. They are full of questions and constantly exploring the world around them.
My Project
The materials for this project will help my new class of prekindergarten students start their school year off with a lot of color and organization.
These pom pom supplies and decorations will start our new school year off with a colorful classroom !
These materials will help students learn to recognize their names, help label their school supplies and label their cubbies. The borders will frame their first self portraits and decorate our bulletin boards. The large banner will welcome our prekindergarten students to their new classroom.
The teacher plan book will help me organize the students information and differentiate their lessons and activities.
Thank you for your continued support to our prekindergarten classroom !
