My Students

I teach in a low-income area in WV where most students receive free or reduced lunch. Because of the low-Income area students face a difficult time affording to buy the basic school supplies needed for the classroom. These items I am requesting will be given to students to use daily in my classroom. The supplies will help make each of my students day more productive because I will be better able to meet their school needs for daily classroom activities.

My Project

Most of my students are form low-income areas. They worry if their parents are able to pay the bills, have food to eat and a place to stay, etc. School supplies should not be worry for students. I am asking for some basic school materials. Students can use the various materials to create flash cards to help them learn facts and vocabulary. Colored pencils will be utilized to allow the students to create visual projects about countries we are studying, allowing them to have the opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge and understanding of key concepts.

Once students have successful mastered the material, I will be displaying the student’s projects across the room and school allowing students to take pride in their work building confidence.

The other materials like markers and pencils will help student’s complete various hands on projects, every day classwork, and various learning objectives.

With your help students will be able use these supplies daily in the classroom. By donating students will have a better chance to be successful in not only the classroom, but also applying the skills used in the classroom toward career path of their choice. Thank you !
