Mrs. Harmon from Houston TX is requesting lab equipment through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students blood pressure and stethoscope kits to help them practice to make perfect the skills that they are learning in the classroom.

On the first day of school, I asked all of my students to describe themselves using six word. Here are some of their choices: Smart, hardworking, awesome, organized, outgoing, respectful, helpful, ambitious, open-minded, honest, funny, productive, genuine, responsible, and curious just to name a few. I agree with them all.
The uniqueness of my students makes for an amazingly interesting group of teens to watch, mold, teach, inspire, care for, and guide.
As a teacher, a part of job is to watch for words that they do not use to describe themselves but what their actions speak about them. Some do not have an adequate or a stable home environment. Some only will get to eat what is given for lunch and/or breakfast at school. Some may lack the personal toiletries needed to make them feel comfortable being around others. Some just want someone to show them that they care about them and to feel love. It's the little thing that will make a difference in their lives. I am a difference maker.
In the Health Science Theory with Clinical Rotation class, we are future health care professionals of tomorrow! My students are getting a jump start on their futures while in high school. As juniors and senior they are receiving the knowledge and hands-on skills that they will need in order to be successful in the future as doctors, nurses, surgeons, dentists and etc.
I chose to request the blood pressure and stethoscope kits because they are vital instruments that these future health providers will need.
We all know that practice makes perfect and these items will help them perfect their skills.
