Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a new teacher who was hired to teach STEAM/maker space while using technology. STEM helps students understand real-world applications and prepare them for 21st-century careers. More than ever before, there are more opportunities for engineering, using technology, science-related jobs, and understanding mathematics. By having STEM bins or a maker space, students will be able to explore and experiment with ideas by using everyday materials such as straws, sticks, tape, etc. Let's help these students!
My Project
These materials that are listed will help my students grow! They will become comfortable with technology and get a feel of how some careers work in the 21st century. They will be able to discover and explore new ways of learning. Using Botley will help the students understand what coding is and how it programs their favorite games. With the Merge Cubes, students will be able to "hold" a heart and see how it pumps, or hold the sun in their hands. LEGO WeDo 2.0 will help students understand the engineering process. This is a great tool for students to see the world.
