Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school district is a rural public school. We are a low socioeconomic school serving a diverse group of students. Our students are great kids who do not always have the best opportunities. As a lower income district, our students come to school for more than an education. To most, we are their extended families. Our kids love to share their accomplishments and look forward to brighter futures.
When the students are provided with out of the norm activities, out students enjoy coming to school each day.
My Project
I would like to give our students opportunities that will prepare them in their future endeavors. In order to this, I would like to purchase whiteboard tables to carry out specific activities that will help students become better problem-solvers, learn how to work collaboratively with their peers, and effectively communicate their thoughts and ideas.
Due to budget constraints in our district, it is very difficult to purchase additional resources beyond textbooks.
Having whiteboard tables in the classroom creates an environment that engages learners rather than a traditional classroom environment. Please help our students with this exciting opportunity. Thank you!
