My Students

Motivated, driven, curious are just a few words that describe my students. The challenges that they face daily from living in a high poverty area are beyond what many can even comprehend, but that hasn't stopped their desire to achieve greatness.

Our fourth grade class is a family!

They are motivated by success and want to continue to do their very best. They push each other to reach high and applaud when they do. We learn from technology, from songs, from exploring opportunities, and from each other.

My Project

As a math teacher I look for many ways to reach my students. Technology is our future and my students love working with it. As we inch closer to the end of the school year and begin preparing for our state test, review is the key to success. All of our 4th grade standards have been taught and now is the time to hone our math skills. IXL is the program that will do just that. Since IXL is aligned to our state standards, we can chose the exact standard that any one child needs extra practice on. IXL goes beyond just saying a problem is correct or incorrect, It will then teach the individual student why the answer is what it is.
