In the education world the term "looping" means to move with the same group of students from one grade level to another. We were fortunate to do this with our 5th graders, moving from 4th to 5th with them.
In the next academic year, our team will be moving to fourth grade.
In order to prepare for this move, our team has compiled a list of valuable resources to help prepare our incoming fourth graders in social studies, science, writing, and math.
My Project
These resources will help students in science, social studies, writing, and math. Students in fourth grade will be preparing for state tests in science, writing, and math.
Science books will help supplement our classroom materials, and give students a chance to practice reading comprehension while learning science material.
In social studies, students must learn about U.S. history through the lens of Indiana's contributions. Books included in this project focus in on Indiana and the contributions Hoosiers made. Finally, in writing, students will learn how to write complete sentences, interesting paragraphs, and how to write effective essays and reports for class.
