Help me give my students more opportunities to develop their gross motor skills and engage in social emotional aspects of daily life through play. They can stay active and strengthen their muscles through the tandem bikes and rockers!

My students are very eager to learn. They enter my classroom with a new sense of imagination everyday. We are a diverse class but they are similar in so many ways. My class are our leaders of tomorrow. They are driven to be hard workers. As four year old students, they are always willing to help each other in their daily schedule. They are always creating beautiful works of art. You can see them encouraging the next student to write about their art. They have such a love for technology. My students push me to be a better teacher by pushing themselves to achieve goals we set together in class.
This project will benefit our entire Prekindergarten grade level during outdoor learning at my school. The materials that are being requested are tandem ride on bikes and ride on rockers. These bikes can hold two students at a time and encourage them to play cooperatively while strengthening their gross motor skills. The ride on rockers can hold up to three students at a time and teaches team work in order for them to be able to see saw on them.
When we deny young children play, we are denying them the right to understand the world.
-Erika Christakis
I firmly believe through play all of my students can learn vital life skills such as communication, team work, sharing, and adventure.
Outdoor learning is just as important as what we do inside of our classroom on a daily basis. It allows our students to be able to facilitate their own thinking and creativity. If this project is funded, my students will have an abundance of materials to accomplish this and make awesome memories to start their educational journey!
