Our school is in a low income neighborhood and we provide our students with free breakfast and lunch every day. Our school is recognized as one of the most diverse in the nation. The students in my class come from multiple different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Within my classroom alone there are five different languages spoken. Our families are comprised of people going through tough times to service members in the military. My students are very active and love to build and explore new things. We do most of our learning through play, and I usually learn just as much from them as they learn from me.
My Project
Young students have a hard time being still, especially when the materials they are using are uninteresting or too familiar. By providing more materials for my preschool students to work with, they are more likely to be actively engaged in exploring and strengthening new concepts.
More classroom materials will help my students be engaged and excited about learning.
The Alphabet Learning Locks will help strengthen my students fine motor skills to help them be ready to write as well as reinforce letter names and sounds all while building vocabulary for my multilingual students.
The Knock Down challenge will help build number concept skills in my very active students by allowing them to throw safe materials in the classroom and recognizing numerals.
Alphabots will hep my students build fine motor strength to help prepare them to write, as well as build on letter names and dramatic play by acting out familiar scenarios with the robots.
The Survive the Quake Kit will help build on my students' understanding of earthquakes and STEM skills of building.
New toys will help my students be excited and interested about learning new things. We hope that you can help to support us to have fun and grow!
