My Students

My classroom is filled with wonderful 4 and 5 year olds that amaze me every day. They walk in the first day of school not knowing one word of English and quickly pick up the new language as well as many other challenging skills. My students are extremely dedicated and are always excited to learn something new. They are the most respectful, kind, smart, and determined children I know. I am immensely proud of who they are as individuals and as a whole.

My Project

Studies have proven, children learn more through play than in any other way. As a teacher I have witnessed this to be true. Having manipulatives such as puppets during our read aloud will help keep my students engaged and entertained during the story; this will help them immensely with their comprehension. The puppets included in this Fairy Tale STEAM Kit could also be used by my students in order to retell the story told, using new vocabulary, emotions, and complete sentences. While in their stations they will be able to use the rest of the STEAM kits to think outside the box and work on their problem solving skills as well as their creativity.
