This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work with PreK students who are starting their academic career. Most of my students speak English as a second language but that doesn’t hold them back. They love mastering new skills and showing them off, celebrating each other’s successes and learning more and more through questions, explorations, and hands-on activities! My goal every year is to introduce them to as many things as I can! This year I want to add coding and with your help, this can happen!

My Project

At the age of 4 my children are learning their ABCs, 123s, how to be friends AND this year with YOUR help they will learn basic coding. Knowing how to code will be an important skill as they grow and learn more about computers. These basic coding activities need nothing extra and are totally hands on! I can almost hear their giggles and cheers for one another as they successfully move the mouse through the maze or Botley through the obstacle course that they create! Who knows, one day one may invent the first flying car all because of your help!
