My Students

I teach Pre-Kindergarten in a public school In New York City. We have three Pre-K classes with approximately 18 children in each class. Our goal has always been the same. We want our children to have positive experiences that will help further develop their natural curiosities. The Pre-K children at our school keep us on our toes with their sheer eagerness to learn new things. They are creative, loving and an enthusiastic bunch.

We want to continue providing positive learning opportunities for our youngest learners.

Our Pre-K program definitely provides a great foundation for Kindergarten because we help them develop their social skills as well as their academic skills.

My Project

The classroom set of books about the life cycle will allow the teachers to read to their classes and spark their curiosities about natural transformations in our world that they may not have otherwise thought of or known.

The supplies and added activities will give them the hands on experiences we know will enhance their natural interests.

Watching the children learn all about the life cycle of a butterfly is truly amazing. Their questions are soon answered by their involvement in caring for a living creature. Through their participation all the children learn how caring for something will help it grow and survive.
