Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Pre-K classroom is a vibrant, hands-on learning environment where students can explore and become life-long learners. This is their very first year of school, and I love to set their expectations high. I have 20 wonderful, fun, loving Pre-K students, who are learning two languages: English and Spanish. They come to school ready to learn each day. They are quick to ask questions, participate, and jump in to exploring and discovering new things. They will learn to discover, explore with confidence, and develop a lifetime love of learning.
My Project
This is my students first time in school and I want to capture their school memories. The color printer and paper will benefit our classroom in many ways. I have 20 children in my classroom and I take and send home pictures from the first day of preschool until the last day of school. Having this printer will allow me to take and print pictures immediately and not have to wait for them to be printed.
One of the projects that the students will be working on is their All About Me collage.
Students will be bringing in items from home that has a special meaning to them. Students will decorate their collage that represents who they are.
I enjoy taking pictures of the children and their families for Mother's Day, Fathers's Day, Christmas and all the other moments that parents miss while the children are at school. The frames will allow us to display all of the photos not only at the child's home, but in the classroom, Back to School Night, and Conferences. This will encourage children to have open ended conversation with their peers about their families and get to know each other and build long time relationships with each others families.
