My students need the opportunity to fulfill their dreams. My students live in a small bayside community that was severely impacted by Hurricane Sandy four years ago. Some houses in our community are just being fixed now and others are still waiting. I teach in a low-income school district which means many of my families work very hard to provide for their families with many of them working more than one job.

My students are the best thing about my job. They are creative, lively and eager to explore our world. I look forward to seeing each of their bright sunny faces every day.
My Project
My students like all young children are fascinated with water. You send them to wash their hands and ten minutes later they can still be splish splashing away at the sink. We have a water table to use but are in need of somethings to help facilitate their play

We are asking for a storage rack to keep our materials accessible yet sanitary and dry. We are also in need of a fish set. I had purchased a couple of these exact sets myself years ago but time has taken a toll on our fish as they are rusty and our poles are broken. Finally, we are asking for water whisks. I have an old wooden/metal one in my house area that the children love using and these would allow more than one child to play plus I think it would be super fun to use this to make bubbles.
