Pre-K Takes a Deep Breath

My Project

Pre-K is such a fun and exciting time! Students learn and grow so much during their Pre-Kindergarten year!

Sometimes the excitement in the classroom is too much and students aren't able to self-regulate and calm down.

With the materials in this project I will be able to better help them learn coping skills like using movement to calm down or count to calm down. They can also have a chance to play with a calming sensory toy to calm down. Many of these items will be going in my calming corner, but some - like the cushions - will be available during carpet time for my students who need constant movement.
