Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are an amazing group of 3-5 year old boys and girls enrolled in an AM/PM Speech and Langauge Program. They enjoy playing, coloring, and learning through hands on experience. Students in my class receive speech and language therapy services 5 days a week. A variety of materials are needed in order to enhance and promote the development communication skills. Our school is located in Hollywood, Florida. Our schhol's student population comes from a variety of socioeconomic and ethic backgrounds.
My Project
This printer and ink will enhance student development of speech sounds and language skills by providing the necessary materials needed by the speech-language pathologist to implement age appropriate therapy. These materials are either purchased, downloaded, and/or created by me in order to target each student's individualized speech and language goals. Materials that will be printed will help students with drill work for accurate sound production to increase intelligibility. Materials are also used to increase language production for daily communication of wants and needs. These skills will enable students to grow, develop, and reach age appropriate milestones to prepare them for Kindergartern and future education.
