I work in a preschool cross categorical classroom. My students range from 3 to 5 years old. A cross categorical classroom includes awesome kiddos with a variety of disabilities. Disabilities include Down syndrome, Autism, and Significant Learning Disabilities!
The bean bag chair will create an inviting and comfy space for students in the sensory zone.
Students will use the tweezers to enhance fine motor skills while sorting manipulatives. The Touch & Feel Mystery Capsules will be a great addition for students to work on making predictions. My students’ future success will be enhanced by utilizing sensory resources.
Although my students have disabilities, they work super hard and enjoy learning through hands-on activities! My students love to use their senses while exploring our daily environment!
My Project
Students in my class tend to have a hard time with sensory management. At times they get overwhelmed and need a break! These special resources are great tools to help students maintain their sensory needs. The sensory zone will allow them to take that much needed break and refocus!
The sensory zone with a giant bean bag seat will bring comfort and huge smiles to my students!
The awesome resources will not only help with sensory, but they will also promote other learning areas, too, including math, science, and fine motor skills. The giant sound tubes and the Touch & Feel Mystery Capsules will engage multiple senses at once!
