Pre-K Sloths Home Learning Packages: Literacy and Math During Quarantine
Help me give my students materials for me to create Pre-K learning bundles so my students can continue to learn from home when I drop these off to all my students.
I am a second-year preschool teacher and will always have 16 incredible student explorers. My students will spend their school year ready to explore through play and guidance.
My children are 4 years old and need hands-on experiences in order to understand their world.
All of my babies come from low-income homes and may have more challenges than most other 4 years olds. No matter what their home lives may be, I vow to provide the best Pre-K experience that I can even from our homes. With our school closed, I would like to start to reach out to my kids with packages full of materials to keep their brains and bodies engaged in learning.
My Project
It's hard for me to even type this right now because my heart hurts so much knowing my 16 Super Sloths won't be finishing Pre-K in our classroom. Although this is the reality during this time, I am determined to keep my students learning so they can get ready for Kindergarten.
With your help, we can provide my 16 students at home work packages that are fun, engaging, and able to be independently completed.
I would drop off these packages to each of my students once funded. I will add a letter that describes how each material can be used while at home. Inside each package the students will be able to practice their letters with dry erase booklets, improve their patterns/number sense with two sided counters, and enhance their creative skills with sidewalk chalk.
This project is very important to me and would be just an incredible gift for each of my 16 Super Sloths.
