My Students

I love my small town, rural county in Florida, where everyone knows everyone and we rally around each other whenever someone needs a hand. My students consist of 4 and 5-year-old preschoolers with different learning abilities and lots of active energy that I adore.

When my students arrive on their first day of school, for many it is their first experience in a public school setting, and I want it to always be a positive learning experience!

To see their smiling faces and eager minds makes teaching a wonderful and fulfilling career. I love being a preschool teacher!

My Project

Our classroom desperately needs a Big Group carpet rug! We had to quickly move out of our classroom to a new location in an old portable. The old carpet in our new space is not in good condition. It is pieced and duct taped together. We would love to have a new rug to give our classroom a colorful and fresh lift. The rug we selected has perfect seating areas for each student and would be big enough to fit our entire class comfortably. We would use this rug daily during all big group activities and lessons, while enjoying read alouds, and can be utilized during center time as well.
