Celebrating Black History Month

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My Pre-K classroom is made up of 16 unique children from many different cultures, languages, and experiences. Our school is Title 1 and mostly serves children living in poverty.

My students are amazing!

They are kind, thoughtful, curious, energetic and eager to explore, play and learn. For many children, this is their first experience in a classroom, while others have been to daycare or preschool. Despite their differences, these children form a bond and learn to work together and respect each other.

My Project

Our classroom is very different now that Covid is a part of our lives. The rugs in our classrooms have been removed. We will also be spending more time outdoors than usual.

Please help provide my students with a comfortable place to sit.

We will use these cushions to sit on in the classroom as well as outside. They are made of a material that can easily be washed in between usage and they have handles, so they can easily be carried outside!

This is a great solution to having to sit on the hard floor or dirt outdoors.
