Pre-K: Learning Through Age Appropriate Technology with iPad Minis
My students need opportunities to use age appropriate technology to encourage self-directed independent learning through use of educational apps. The students will be able to use the iPads throughout stations/rotations and place in appropriate charging stations.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Students have overcome great obstacles in the past year after Hurricane Harvey in 2017. Students are still rebuilding homes, supplies, clothing, etc. Each child in my classroom learns using a different method and environment. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!
My Project
Students are still recovering from Hurricane Harvey. Pre-K programs are a great way for students to recieve educational building blocks for a successful educational future. Technology is a great opportunity for students to gain educational knowledge and skills.
Through the use of this grant, and the funds from the Rebuild Texas organization, students within Pre-K 4 will be able to use age appropriate technology to encourage independent self-directed learning with the use of iPad minis.
By implementing age appropriate technology, the students will be able to taking care of all iPads, charging stations, and cases. Students will be taught how to use technology appropriately and safely.
