Help me give my students a way to continue to learn at home through building and problem solving skills with the Legos, working on their language and math skills in the workbooks, ball skills art skills.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic by not being able to go to school. for my children , school is their happy place and where they get a lot of their needs met. the children come from a low socioeconomic area.
A lot of the students don't really leave the area, and get out of the neighborhood so I try to bring them as many experiences as I can.
My Project
These materials cover all the different areas we study in the class. Since my children come from low socioeconomic setting, they have do not have many supplies to learn with at home. These tools will allow them to bring the learning into their environments.
The Legos will allow the students to create, problem solving , and build and they can be reused over and over.
The workbooks will cover skills we have learned in school and be able to keep the material fresh in their brains so they don't forget them. They can be read to as well as work on their sight words and beginning reading skills. The ball can be used for PE and working on their gross motor skills. The students can continue to explore creatively with the paints, pastels and paper.
