My students are small, unique, inquisitive learners who are taking their first steps into their first classroom experience. My students are at the very beginning of their education. They are caring and eager to learn. You never know what is going to happen in Pre-K. From whole group circle time to small group instruction we read books and learn together daily. Students participate in crafts that align with the pre-k standards and units. Everyday we play outside with our friends and learn how to work and play together.
My students are creative and always communicating they are actively engaged in learning social and emotional skills and learning how to share.
My Project
Part of the Pre-K program requires that students spend at least a hour everyday dedicated to out door recess. Our program is still new this makes our second year at . We currently have a fenced in area with no climbing equipment. There is also no place on playground to properly store toys at this time either.
I feel that is very important for children to have things to engage with while being outside playing.
We have toys that we bring outside daily from the classroom. The type of toys that we bring outside to the playground from the classroom closet is hard to carry. We need a place to safety and properly store bikes, balls, climbing gear, sand and water table, little trike basket ball goal, an other toys that we take outside daily.
Anyone who is willing to help will never know how grateful we will be. Not only will I be grateful, but the children will benefit so much from having a place to keep all their toys protected and easy to access.
