I teach Pre-K ESE in a low income area. All of my students (ranging from age 3 to 5) have learning delays and/or some form of special need. These students benefit from classroom structure, respect, and hands on learning activities. My students need classroom items that will help them grow and strengthen their fine motor skills.
My students need more classroom tools that can help them build their pre writing skills through fine motor experiences.
They learn best through play and kinesthetic learning activities.
My Project
These classroom materials will give my ten ESE students the hands-on learning activities they need in order to promote pre-writing skills within the classroom setting. These students rely on kinesthetic learning activities to help them get the proper building blocks they need in order to transition into a regular education Kindergarten classroom.
The dot art will help promote proper pencil grip and when paired with the dot art activities my students will gain knowledge of upper and lower case letters.
Also, the alphabet bots will give my students a fun way to "play" with letters of the alphabet and familiarize themselves with letters in their own name.
