My students come from diverse backgrounds and that provides us with wonderful learning opportunities. Some of my students have special needs and others are gifted learners. We also have children from military families, as well as some who speak English as a second language (ESL/ELL). We are very fortunate to have such a beautifully diverse classroom community.
Although our school is faced with an increasing number of students from low-income families, my students are highly motivated to solve problems and make the world a better place.
My students are the scientists, artists, engineers, and mathematicians of the future. They care about others and want to make a difference in the world. I can't wait to see the amazing things they accomplish in their lives!
My Project
Many of my students have test anxiety. We will use these test practice books to target specific skills and strategies, which will increase confidence levels for my students. These books will also provide my students with opportunities to practice taking tests in a low-stakes setting, which will help them develop testing strategies that will benefit them later in the year. The tables will provide additional workspace that will help my students feel more comfortable and relaxed, making it easier for them to concentrate and do their best.
Testing is not the most important part of education, but it does play a role in helping determine the needs of each student.
With your help, I will be able to better understand the needs of my students and help them demonstrate academic growth and achievement. With practice, they will be ready to persevere through the challenges of testing and perform at higher levels.
