Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are motivated and energetic learners that always look towards doing their very best and being fantastic students in and out of the classroom. In the classroom they look to make the very best improvements to their own musical abilities every day. Not only are they constantly learning how to improve their musical abilities, but they also demonstrate leadership and teamwork-based skills on a daily basis.
My students are constantly working with old equipment and deserve better in order to become the best independent learners they can become.
It is my job not only to help them learn musical skills, but also to foster a deeper love and understanding for music and emotional understanding through music. My students inspire me every day to be the very best person I can be, and they deserve every bit of support that they can get.
My Project
These practice pads will help my percussion students be more effective individual learners by allowing them to be able to go home and practice skills learned in the classroom. Also it is a much easier way to practice compared to taking a bulky drum home constantly.
My percussion students love to play, and so I want to give them the chance to be able to practice every chance that they get.
Often times I have students who have to stay after school in order to get in practice time, but with these pads, my percussionists will have the same ability as all of the other instrumental students to go home and practice.
