Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students in our school each have every unique life stories. They bring to school different cultural backgrounds, and their cultural backgrounds influence their experiences in the school and the classroom. Our school is located in the south metro area educating 5th through 8th graders. The students that attend our school include special education students and English learning students. As a Title I school, we service a high population of students that receive free or reduced meals. The students enjoy different engaging activities and understand that their education is important.
My Project
Practicing math content needs to be interactive and engaging. The materials in this project will allow students to interact with the content in different forms that work with their learning styles. Students will use the dry erase markers for different activities involving dry erase markers and activities in plastic sleeves. The copy and colored paper will be used for graphic organizers and different activities like task cards, scavenger hunts, card sorts, and many other activities. The ink will be used to print these activities onto the paper.
By contributing to this project, you are aiding students in being successful using their different learning styles.
Each of the supplies in this project will allow the teacher to easily appeal to the learning styles of each of the students that are served in this classroom.
