Help me give my students lamination pouches so that we are able to reuse games and materials and provide the additional repetition and practice that they need.
I teach in a K-5 Resource/Behavioral classroom. There are currently 40 students being served in our classroom. Each student has an individualized program focusing on academic and behavioral needs. The staff works to create an inviting classroom that stresses a strong sense of community where students learn safety, responsibility, and respect. Many of the children are homeless or come from highly mobile families, so it is imperative that we make the most of our time with them. We are working to create an atmosphere of both support and challenge each day.
Engaged, determined, energetic; my students are eager to learn and be successful.
They love to practice their skills in a variety of modalities, playing games, using manipulatives and using repetition in order to learn to mastery. It is our goal to help each of them be prepared to enter the world ready to take on any challenge.
My Project
My special needs students are an enthusiastic bunch. However, their enthusiasm quickly fades when they are required to do the same activity too many times. I would like to find a variety of reproducible tools that I can laminate.
This will enable me to provide them with the variety that is needed and still allow them to practice the skills they need with the opportunity for repetition and practice to get to mastery.
These lamination pouches will allow me to create materials for all subjects, including Math, Reading, Writing and Fine Motor skills. My students will be jumping for joy when they see the endless possibilities!
