My Students

I teach 2nd grade to an amazing group of children. Our school is one that is of low socioeconomic standing. Despite the challenges that many of my students face due to their socioeconomic standing, they still come to school each day eager to learn.

My 21 students are very energetic, enthusiastic, and hard working.

A majority of them are excited to learn but have a hard time staying engaged in the learning process if it doesn't contain a variety of learning tools.

My students thrive when they are presented with opportunities to explore the material we are learning. My hope is that giving them access to technology throughout the day will motivate them to actively participate and learn the common core standards.

My Project

We are living in a world filled with technology, and I want to ensure my students are leaving my classroom with the tools they need to be successful in this world. I am in need of more technology in our classroom to help me to continue to spark my students’ interest in learning. Providing them with chromebooks will allow me to create meaningful and engaging lessons that will help me teach the standards while also providing me the opportunity to prepare them to be high achievers in our technology driven society. I am eager to teach with this technology!
